Overview

Kakum National Park is a birdwatcher’s haven, home to over 250 species of birds, including rare and endangered species such as the White-breasted Guineafowl, Grey Parrot, Yellow-bearded Greenbul, and the elusive Nkulengu Rail. Located in Ghana’s Central Region, the park offers guided birding tours through lush rainforest trails and canopy walkways that give you a unique vantage point of the treetops and the incredible avian biodiversity.

Early morning birding is especially rewarding, with the chance to see colorful sunbirds, hornbills, turacos, and bee-eaters in their natural habitat. With experienced local guides and birding experts, Kakum provides an unforgettable eco-tourism experience for amateur birdwatchers and seasoned ornithologists alike.
