The Okomfo Anokye Sword Site, located on Stewart Avenue within the grounds of Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi, Ashanti Region, Ghana, houses a legendary sword believed to have been planted around 1695 by the revered priest Okomfo Anokye. According to Ashanti tradition, no one has ever successfully removed this sword. Efforts by many, including Muhammad Ali in 1964, failed fulfilling his eternal declaration that the unity of the Ashanti kingdom depends on the sword's permanence.
